Current celebrity news

The latest hollywood news is that Carrie Fisher is finally admitting that she had a torrid and “intense” affair with Harrison Ford while they were filming the blockbuster movie, “Star Wars.” The affair may have contributed to the on screen chemistry between their characters, Han Solo and Princess Leia. This may be one bit of Hollywood gossip that no one expected but is not a surprise for anyone.

Fisher told People Magazineandnbsp;that the affair between the two actors was “intense.” She continued to say that she was going through some journals that she kept at the time and the discovery of her writing from the time made her think that the time to disclose the affair had finally come.

“It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend,” Fisher told People.

Fisher wrote about the affair in her new book, The Princess Diarist:

“I looked over at Harrison. A heroandrsquo;s face, a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow. How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?”

Ford was 34 during the filming, which took place in London, and married. Fisher was 19. Fisher says now that she was doing a lot of drugs and thought Ford might consider leaving his wife for her but that never happened. In the world of Hollywood gossip, this celebrity news really came as a shock to no one who has watched the movies.

The original Star Wars movie was filmed in 1976. During the first three movies, which are episodes four, five and six in the Star Wars franchise, the characters Princess Leia and Han Solo have a romantic liaison. The chemistry between the two actors is pretty obvious. At the end of The Empire Strikes Back, they have , what is considered to be an epic scene together as Han is lowered into carbonite to be delivered to Jabba the Hutt because Han owed him money. Just before Han is lowered in, Leia tells him, “I love you.” Han’s response, an ad libbed line, is just, “I know.”

The affair started after a birthday party for Fisher that was held by the creator of the Star Wars franchise. It ended when they finished filming the movie three months later but Fisher still has fond memories of the time, “I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him,” she told People magazine. “He was kind.”

Fans of the franchise have been sent into a literal frenzy over the news of the affair. Nicknamed “Carrison,” they have taken to several social media sites to express their thoughts and deal with their feelings about the whole thing. According to Inquisitir, Star Wars fans from across the globe have taken to Twitter to talk about this Hollywood gossip and what they think about it. None seemed to be surprised by the news.

One fan even has changed their screen name to “Carrison is real.” “Forbidden Monster (@FM_TeeShirts) tweeted, “I knew it all along! You Had Me At “I Know.””

Andrew Findley (@AndrewFindley2) posted the tweet, “Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford were doing exactly what you guessed, says Fisher “

Guy Incognito (andrlm;@ShutUpThatsWho) probably summed up what most people were thinking when they heard the news of the affair with this tweet:

CARRIE FISHER: I had an affair with Harrison Ford while filming Star Wars

LITERALLY EVERYBODY ELSE: I know

The Star Wars movies have all been incredibly successful. That is why there have been so many movies, comic books and a plethora of other merchandise that has been made from them. The on screen chemistry between Fisher and Ford was pretty hard to miss. Some people think that Fisher waited about 40 years to tell the world about the affair because she was lookign to protect Ford’s wife at the time. He divorcedandnbsp;Mary Marquardt in 1979 and is now married to Calista Flockhart. He was married to Melissa Mathison from 1983 to 2004.

Most people are not surprised or upset by the news of the affair but it is very interesting that it took this long for the Hollywood gossip to become public.
